Summer can pass by in the blink of an eye. It feels like we spend all winter looking forward to the sunshine and hot weather that we sometimes forget to stop and enjoy the moment. While sitting on your dock is always a great time at your cottage, why not step out into one of Muskoka’s beautiful towns and enjoy one of the many events happening all summer long.

On Saturday July 8th join the Rotary Club in downtown Huntsville for their 5th annual Rotary Dockfest. This signature event will feature three heats of bathtub races, a pancake breakfast and a parade of all the boats. From 8-4pm you can join the fun, funds raised this year will be donated to Huntsville Hospice and Fairvern Nursing Home.

Experience the best that the great outdoors has to offer by surrounding yourself in one of the most beautiful parks in Muskoka. On July 8th and 9th join the Muskoka Yoga Festival at Anne Williams Park in Bracebridge, and experience Muskoka through Music, Nature and Yoga. The festival will include over 30 hours of yoga classes and workshops, as well as merchandise from local vendors. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of yoga in the par!
From July 21-23th join the 8th annual Muskoka In-Water Boat and Cottage Show, and the 9th annual Muskoka Ribfest at the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst.  The festival will include over 100 booths featuring local vendors and cottage exhibits, live entertainment and award winning BBQ eats. Spend the day relaxing in the Muskoka Brewery Lounge, admission is free as this is a cant miss event for all cottagers!
The Lake of Bays Antique Boat and Car Show is back by popular demand. On Sunday August 20th spend the day outside by walking along the riverfront docks and streets of Baysville, all day come out and see some of the most beautiful antique ships and cars the area has to offer. With live music, local vendors and open waters this is the place to be this August.
Throughout July and August cruise along beautiful Lake of Bays as you wine and dine aboard the historical SS Bigwin. Choose between a 1 or 2.5 hour trip around Lake of Bays and indulge in a three-course dinner at Port Cunnington Lodge. Port Carling
Don’t miss your chance to taste some of the best butter tarts in Port Carling. On July 15th join the Butter Tart Festival from 10-4pm at the Museum in Port Carling. Butter tarts will be on sale from 10am-12pm so get there early! Admission is $2 and each vendor prices butter tarts individually. Join the afternoon fun with live music, children’s activities, and special displays.
