There is nothing better than enjoying a delicious BBQ on a warm summer day. Rib Fest is a perfect summer activity to fill your appetite with the entire family. With plenty of Rib Fests going on around the GTA and near our areas of service, there will be so many opportunities to attend this summer.

 

Here are a few going on around the GTA for you to enjoy this summer:

 

Friday, July 27 to Sunday, July 29

 

 

The Town of Richmond Hill is hosting Rib Fest this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Richmond Green Sports Centre and Park. You can visit Friday from 12 to 11 PM, Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 8 PM. There will be plenty of live entertainment in the park all weekend long so you can pig out and rock out! Entering its 3rd year in 2018, Port Perry is hosting Rib Fest this year at Palmer Park on Port Perry’s waterfront. With plenty of food and fun going on, the Rotary Club of Port Perry is aiming to raise $50,000 of donations for Oak Ridges Hospice of Durham.

 

Civic Long Weekend – August 3-6

 

Celebrate the long weekend with ribs! With events happening in both Collingwood and Scarborough, these are some of the largest Rib Fest events around! Visit Scarborough’s Thomson Memorial Park all weekend to sample some great bbq and bring the kids so they can enjoy the midway onsite! In Collingwood, visit Millennium Park where there will be the award-winning bbq alongside a ton of classic carnival snacks for you to indulge in.

 

August 10 to 12

 

There is plenty of options to attend Rib Fest this weekend, with events taking place in Woodbridge, Cambridge, and Hamilton! Visit the Woodbridge Fairgrounds all weekend long with live music each evening to accompany the food and carnival games. Cambridge’s Riverside Park is the host for Rib Fest this year, who have made sure to provide options for both vegans and vegetarians! Hamilton’s Rib Fest is part of the Northern Heat Rib Series, which will also feature a Craft Beer Market to enjoy.

 

August 17 to 19

 

This is the 18th annual Rib Fest in Oshawa, and will be featuring 10 fantastic “ribbers” so there are plenty of options to try! Enjoy your food with a beautiful scenic view at Oshawa’s Lakeview Park. In Northumberland, this will be the 12th annual Northumberland Ribfest & Music Festival. This Rib Fest is a fundraiser to help the Rotary Club of Cobourg support worthy causes at home and abroad.

 

August 17 to September 3

 

End your summer with a visit to the Canadian National Exhibition. Known for the huge midway and outlandish food options, you can enjoy some classic BBQ as well! Taking place all the way until Labour Day, you will find one of the biggest events in the province high-quality ribs for two whole weeks! This is free as part of your admission to the CNE, so make sure you check it out!
