Start your weekend on June 30th in Wellington by helping Prince Edward County welcome their Royal Highnesses, Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall to the County. They’ll be visiting to help celebrate Canada 150.  For the rest of the weekend you can enjoy the annual 2-day celebration in Wellington with a street dance, fireworks on the beach, a parade and music vendors. There will be other exciting things including a free Canada 150 photo booth, a pancake breakfast, rib fest and more.
 
If you prefer Picton, you can enjoy the celebrtions that shut down Main Street for patrons. Explore the shops and daytime activities and enjoy Picton’s very own fireworks finale.

Explore the rest of the County for more events and activities. Sand Provincial Park, Sandbanks Winery, the Waring House, Art In The County, Waupoos Winery and many others will also have some fun things to celebrate the national holiday. There are plenty of wineries and breweries to choose from to enjoy a taste of the County. While some prefer to be involved in the action, others like to take a different approach. July 1st is the first day of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby! Whatever you decide to do over the long weekend in the County, you’ll leave feeling like you celebrated Canada in the best possible way.
