This summer, try the worlds best Slip’N Slide on the streets of downtown Hunstville. On Thursday July 6th in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, the 17th annual fundraiser will pay homage to Canadian Heritage and Traditions through artisanal culinary culture. This summer join the SS Bigwin on the SS Bigwin Community BBQ as they celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday and kick off their summer season with complimentary boat tours! Join the celebration on June 10th from 10am – 1pm at Dorset docks and come ready to cruise Lake of Bays aboard the SS Bigwin. The event will include a free BBQ, music and face painting for kids. There are no reservations required for this event as this is a first come first serve event!
Minden Hills’ annual Canada Day Celebration is taking place this year on July 1st, and this year to celebrate Canada’s big birthday they have added on even more events to help celebrate! This all day event will include an interactive science show, a world champion disc catching dog show, kids fishing derby and a crazy river raft race! Once the festivities have cooled down, be sure to stick around for the “Guess who’s coming to diner” music and food festival.
