Fine Art Galleries and Art Studios


Across Southern Georgian Bay, you can find plenty of fine art galleries and art studios. The Art Map offers a year-round guide to all of the art galleries and studios throughout the area. They cover several different areas with their Art Trails including the Bruce Peninsula, Southern Georgian Bay, and Beaver Valley. They feature 5-6 artists or studios from each area. In the Bruce Peninsula, you can find Circle Arts in Tobermory, who presents some of Canadas finest artists and artisans including paintings, etchings, ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, photography, wood and steel sculpture. Stonewater Studio in Thornbury features unique works of couple Kim and Walt, who create paintings and unique wooden pieces from local sourced wood, respectively.


Live Music


Live Music in Collingwood is a popular scene, with several different bars and clubs offering venues for artists to perform or just the space for locals to join in. Crow. Bar and Variety is the creation from the team behind Thornbury’s Bruce Wine Bar. They feature live music in their space every weekend, including their weekly open mic nights. Crow. also offers “The Crow Sessions”, an intimate night of dinner and music with acclaimed artists hosted by the remarkable Jeff Woods. Live Theatre


Theatre Collingwood is a not-for-profit professional theatre company with charitable status, dedicated to showcasing the finest talent in quality theatre productions. The company became renowned for producing large scale musicals during the boom period of the 1980’s, and is still well-known in Southern Georgian Bay for their live theatre productions. With year-round playbills that feature some of the finest talent in the area, Theatre Collingwood is the perfect spot for a date night or an evening with friends. Public Artwork


Public Art in Collingwood is a huge part of the community, which allows members of the community to contribute to the beautification of their own spaces. You can find pieces of art throughout your everyday commute in Collingwood, with different pieces being incorporated into parks and streets. At Mountaincroft Park, you can find a handcrafted wooden artwork created by Stephen Hogbin. Bradley Bremner was commissioned to design and fabricate a public art bench at Sunset Point Park to create an artistic, inviting and restful seating area and highlight the importance of water in supporting healthy communities with its close proximity to the newly installed water fountain. Across the Heritage Drive Trail, you can find locally submitted designs that were created into bicycle racks to provide the area with more beauty and functionality.
