Summer in the city can sometimes be an expensive time, with costs associated with almost everything you do. But with so much to do, there are plenty of activities you can enjoy without spending a dime! Here are a few of our favourite spots to visit with no price tag:

Riverdale Farm

Visiting the zoo can get quite pricey, but Riverdale Farm is completely free and open all year long! The farm is wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly, which means the entire family can enjoy the sights of how a farm operates. The farm is just steps away from Riverdale Park, so pack a lunch and enjoy an afternoon picnic after your visit to the farm!

Outdoor Movies in Toronto Parks

Enjoy a night out with no expense by attending one of the many outdoor movies being held in parks across Toronto all summer long. Kew Gardens is playing a ton of crowd favourites throughout the summer, including Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and Hidden Figures. If you’re looking for something more central, Yonge-Dundas Square will be featuring a “Rockumentary” themed movie line-up for all to enjoy, which you can find out more information here!

Friday Night Concerts at Yonge-Dundas Square

Yonge-Dundas Square is constantly filled with fun free activities for all to enjoy, including their weekly concert series, Indie Fridays, all summer long! With a ton of local talent being featured, this concert series is the perfect way to kick off your weekend. In collaboration with Chevrolet, they will also feature two graffiti artists each week who will use a Chevrolet Cruze Sedan as their canvas! For more about their lineup and set times, visit their website.
