One of our sales representatives in Muskoka/Hunstville, Kim O’Grady, is the president of The Rotary Club of Huntsville, heading into her second year.

Rotary Dockfest is in its 6th year and is held annually the second Saturday in July.  All money raised goes back into the Huntsville community. Last year, it was Huntsville Hospice and Fairvern Nursing home, this year it goes towards the Huntsville Public School Accessible Playground, which will be available to everyone in the community. This years Rotary Dockfest raised over $20,000.

Rotary Dockfest had 45 local business sponsorships, including 38 tub sponsors and 7 obstacle sponsors.  Their main sponsor who has been with them from day one is Pipefusion Services Inc/NyDock.

The event began with a parade down the Main Street of Huntsville, showcasing all of the businesses followed by races. Each boat ran through an obstacle course. This years winner was Pride Marine, and the winner for best float was Brigg’s Plumbing.

The event generates around a thousand people who come out and watch and has become very popular in our community! The weather was amazing this year, as was the local support.

Congratulations on your wonderful work, Kim!
